I just posted about designer capsule collections the other day, but I gotta admit, even from just two sketches, I’m excited to see what Ms. Alberta Ferretti has in store for Macy’s Impulse. 30 pieces are slated for her collection with prices ranging from $50-120 and hits select stores April 17. 

“The collection I created is fresh and bright, featuring light summer clothing that evokes the spirit of my beautiful country and is at the same time true to my style,” Ferretti told WWD.

When I graduated from university, I was gifted a Philosophy by Alberta Ferretti dress. I’ve had the pleasure of wearing it to a number of other events since. Every time I’m in it, I always get wonderful compliments. 

Back in 2009, Harper’s Bazaar featured an interview with the designer, and I remember seeing the photos of her *gorgeous* country home. Her first home purchase, she lovingly restored the 19th-century estate which now features some eclectic furniture and a serious contemporary art collection.
