Jo Malone, one of my favourite fragrance companies, recently announced their first corporate social responsibility campaign: an ongoing charity project to help create urban gardens in major cities around the world with different organizations.
How fitting for Jo Malone since so many of their fragrances derive inspiration and ingredients from beautiful Mother Earth.
The first project will be in London with the UK charity Thrive, “a small national charity, founded in 1978, that uses gardening to change the lives of disabled people.” The two companies will collaborate on cultivating the Old English Garden in Battersea Park - Thrive’s largest London gardening project, and is expected to take up to two years.
The second project is rumoured to be in New York.
“Nature has given us so much and it’s a true pleasure to be able to give something back to the community,” explained Maureen Case, president of speciality brands at Jo Malone.
Congrats Jo Malone for finding a beautiful link between CSR, your company, and its core principles.

Seduction,” Baudrillard said and I remember, “is always more singular and sublime than sex and it commands the higher price.” Seduction is language, bodily or verbal, not action. — Speaking in Tongues by Sarah Nicole Prickett
